The most beautiful natural spots

Alta Badia delights visitors and locals alike with its Ladin culture and language – and, above all, with its natural attractions. The valley lies at the heart of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage and is surrounded by two nature parks: the Puez-Odle/Puez-Geisler Nature Park and the Fanes-Senes-Braies/Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park. So there’s one thing you can be sure of on holiday: the views are always spectacular, whether you’re hiking, climbing, or cycling.

You can take some of your best holiday photos in the Sella Group, for example at the Pisciadù waterfalls. They can be reached from Colfosco on a leisurely walk. Also in the Sella Group, you’ll find the Pisciadù via ferrata, one of the most popular via ferratas in the Dolomites, offering magnificent views. The Dolomite villages in the region also offer countless beautiful photo opportunities.

Highlights for families

Children especially love it: the Colfosco Animal Park at the entrance to the village of Colfosco. Rabbits, sheep, alpacas, geese, and chickens live here and are happy to welcome visitors all year round. The little ones can let off steam in the playground and learn how flour used to be ground in the little museum.

Right next door, also at the entrance to the village, is the Adventure Park Colfosco. It’s very popular among families and features five courses of varying difficulty. The easiest course is suitable for children as young as three or four. We wish everyone, young and old, lots of fun climbing and clambering!
