Skiing and snowboarding in Alta Badia

Snowshoeing and winter hiking in Alta Badia
Anyone looking for peace and quiet in the great outdoors can set off on one of the many signposted winter walking trails through the snow-covered forests and across the Alpine meadows of the Dolomites. Tobogganing and ice skating in the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage
You can enjoy winter in Alta Badia to the full in more ways than just on skis. Children in particular enjoy ice skating and tobogganing. Couples particularly love night-time tobogganing by moonlight – it’s pure winter romance. And for families and friends, there’s nothing better than whizzing down one of the natural toboggan runs in the area, laughing and cheering together.
Ice skating is a more leisurely and elegant affair. On the frozen Lake Sompunt in Badia and at the ice rink in Corvara – which offers skate hire, a bar, a restaurant, and a pizzeria – you can glide gently across the ice and enjoy the cold. A hot chocolate, a steaming cup of tea, and a light snack taste twice as good after a spot of ice skating.
